Color of the Year 2015 -- Marsala

Pantone, in its infinite wisdom, selected the color "Marsala" as the color of year for 2015. Now, we do enjoy a nice dish prepared with marsala wine here at Zoma Color, but we wonder how this color will translate into the jewelry business. Like the garnets below, robust and earthy reds and browns have been trending a bit over the past few years. Or the rosey-brown of the zircons below to the right.

We welcome this color as its subtle seductiveness and embracing warmth are elements that we strive to capture in our jewelry. Take this ring:

The combination of the rosey-brown zircon and the rose gold provide a hearty glow that is universally appealing and translates into fashion and beauty options for your wardrobe. The marsala color palette is flattering against many skin tones. The color is both dramatic and grounding with its rich and full-bodied red-brown.

You will see more pieces with Marsala colors in the next few months. Let Zoma Color know what you think about Marsala, the Pantone color of the year for 2015!
